Planning a holiday in Barbados for 2020 and travelling with kids under 12? Besides the obvious daily jaunt to an array of sandy white beaches with crystal clear water, Barbados offers non-beachy activities for all ages.

Here are a few that come to mind:

1. Animal Flower Cave

Situated to the North of the island, the Animal Flower Cave offers a walk around the cliff edge (free), tour of the cave ($25 BBD Adults/$10 BBD under 12), lunch at the cliff side restaurant (11:30AM to 3:30 PM Daily) and play area for the kids with benches positioned for you to sit and sip whilst watching the kids play.

2. Barbados Wildlife Reserve

The Barbados Wildlife Reserve is located at The Signal Station in Farley Hill, St. Peter and is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There is an admission charge of $30 per adult and $15 per child which also gives you access to the Grenade Hall Signal Station and Forest. The best time to see the animals is at feeding time which happens at 2:00 PM every day!

3. Atlantis Submarine

The Atlantis Submarine is located at the Shallow Draught in Bridgetown and offers a unique underwater experience at day and at night! Explore the island’s ocean floor in a comfortable air conditioned environment. Explore for 2 hours with the Day Tour ($112 USD per person) or with the Night Tour ($122 USD per person.
