- Hunte’s Gardens
If you’re a nature-lover or gardener, then Hunte’s Gardens should be top of your list. The gardens are easily accessible within a gully in the centre of Barbados’ rainforest. A path leads along the series of mini-gardens which are accompanied by classical music. Anthony Hunte is the owner of the gardens, and is the talented horticulturist who designed them.
- Scuba Diving or Snorkelling
It’s impossible to get the most out of your holiday to Barbados without experiencing the wonder of the ocean life. Snorkelling is easy for the inexperienced, but if you want a close-up look then scuba diving is a must. Explore the barrier reefs and multiple shipwrecks on a daily dive trip or charter.
- South Coast Boardwalk at Hastings
This 1km boardwalk runs from Rocklea Beach towards Bridgetown, parallel to Hastings Main Road. It is the perfect vantage point to view the glorious sunset, with proximity to sand and sea. Enjoy an afternoon stroll, early morning jog or simply take in the surrounds.
- Garrison Savannah
Do you enjoy a day at the races? Then head down to the historic Garrison Savannah for a race day with Barbados Turf Club. This structure has been used for horse racing since 1845. Current race days involve an afternoon of nine races and are popular with locals.
- Dover Beach
This popular beach is on the island’s south coast in the St. Lawrence Gap. It is manned by a lifeguard, so is popular for water sports, swimming and even just soaking up the sunshine. Enjoy a refreshing ice cream from a beachside stall. You can even head to happy hour at the Dover Beach Hotel bar.
- Rum Tour at Mount Gay Visitor Centre
